One of the things that we are constantly warned about is the temptation to get caught up in what the world is doing. We know from God’s Word that the world is under the dominion of the adversary and that the devil’s lease is almost up. Ephesians 6:12(NLT) tells us, “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” God wants us to know the truth, because we cannot walk in victory by believing a lie. Individual people are not our enemies. They are flesh and blood just as we all are, and unknowingly they have allowed themselves to be used of the devil to buffet the believer. To think that our fight is with them is an evil trick of the enemy. It’s a plot to get us distracted from the promises of God’s Word, and the last thing that we ought to be doing in this final hour is to fall for it.

Ephesians 5:15-17(NLT) tells us, “15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.” Our directive from God is to redeem our time wisely by making the most of every opportunity that life affords us each day. We are warned not to act impetuously or without God’s wisdom, but to make sure that we’re understanding what He requires from us. Many Christians today don’t know what God requires from them or what He wants them to do. If they continue in this state, they are going to miss out on enjoying the glory of God on earth.

Act 2:17(NLT) tells us, “17 In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. 18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike—and they will prophesy.” We are witnessing this prophecy come to pass right now. Amazing encounters with the Kingdom of God are happening, and indeed He is pouring out His Spirit upon believers that are hungering to experience the realm of His glory. As unfortunate as it sounds, for some believers, this is not the focus of their hearts.

They are spending an enormous amount of time worrying with anxiety and being fearful about what is happening around them. Believers will engage this mindset and allow corresponding emotions to consume them because they don’t realize how damaging it is.

Ephesians 2:4-6(NKJV) tells us, “4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” This is our reality as children of God! We’ve been made alive in Christ, and because of him we are seated together in heavenly places. This is not fantasy, this is TRUTH! Jesus Christ made it possible for us to have a seat at the table in the Kingdom of Heaven. We can’t have a Kingdom mind-and-heart-set without visualizing ourselves sitting in the Kingdom. That’s our home, and we have to know it and trust it because God told us it is so, and He never lies.

We’ve never seen heaven with our natural or physical eyes, but we can see it with our spiritual eyes. The Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us. He knows everything there is to know about God’s Kingdom, and if we truly desire to be the Kingdom people that God has called us to be, we’ll ask the Spirit to reveal it to us, to give us a revelation of it. We’ll never be the same once we’ve had a glimpse.

God wants to share this with us. Jesus Christ told us in Mark 12:27 (NKJV), “He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.” Our Heavenly Father is the God of love, light, liberty, and life. Fear, darkness, bondage, and death is the devil’s territory. God wants you to enjoy the riches of His Kingdom while you live. In years past, it got a lot of people through tremendously dark times to trust in the by and by. Life was so troubled that the afterlife kept them going, but we have come a very long way in our knowledge of God’s Word and Will since then. The eyes of our understanding has been enlightened, and when you know better, you have unlimited capacity and potential to do better. Waiting until we die to experience His glory is not the abundant life that Christ made available to us. The provision of God is nothing short of glorious. We can and should take it by faith and begin to experience it for ourselves.

God instructs us in Philippians 4:8(NLT), “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” How much time do you spend each day doing this? The answer to this question should be ‘all the time!’ Again, fear, worry and doubt belong to the devil; they are a part of his kingdom, and any time we let him distract us through people and the tumultuous or troublesome situations they bring, we are allowing a lie to rule in our hearts. We are a Kingdom people, and our mission is to introduce the Kingdom of God on earth every opportunity that we get.

Don’t be pulled down into the demonic realm in your thoughts and emotions. Spend quality time visualizing the glory of Heavenly Father, and ask Him to let it fall upon you, in the name of His precious and powerful Son, Jesus Christ. Learn to more closely live and operate out of your spirit man, so that God can firmly plant you in the next level. It’s glorious, and it’s where you’re destined to be.■
